The title of this picture is “Kentucky Wildflower – Phlox.”  It’s a picture of wildflowers that grow in large, rolling patches along the side of creek beds, roadsides, and hillsides. The picture shows the purplish color of the flowers, their star in the center, and their pale white color turning into purple. It shows how delicate the wildflowers are, along with their beauty. It was done on a neutral grey background to highlight the simplicity and the beauty of nature.
    Many people plan their vacation in the fall to visit the north for the changing of the leaves with their magnificent hues of yellow, orange and red, but don't realize the profound beauty of these areas in the spring time.  Along with the Phlox patches are many varieties of butterflies hovering over these vast purple carpets of flowers. In addition dogwood and redbud trees fill the spring woods with colors of white and purple splashed among the fresh green leaves of spring.
